Caught on Camera: The Fastest Thing in the Universe

Happy Monday marvellous educators!

May begins this week. It is a month of change and in the Northern Hemisphere, the transition to summer starts. Aside from May flowers, there are some cool facts about this “a-may-zing” month!

🌸 The phrase "April Showers bring May Flowers" comes from a poem from the 1500s by Thomas Tusser.

🌸 We didn’t call this month May until the Middle Ages were on their way out, around the 15th Century AD. Up until then, the Latin word Maius was still used.

🌸 May is a good month to be the president of the United States. Interestingly, no U.S. president has ever died in May.

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week in the U.S. We’d love to hear the stories of the teachers who have inspired you! Send stories, pictures and videos to [email protected] or tag us on social media along with a quick story about what makes them so special. ❤️ đź“š
